When classes may be recorded
XLClass may allow or use recording of online classes in limited circumstances for student safety, quality assurance, teacher coaching, investigation of complaints and resolving disputes. Where applicable, users will be informed that recording is occurring.
What is not allowed
Recordings must not be:
- Downloaded without authorisation
- Published publicly
- Uploaded to social media
- Shared with unrelated third parties
- Used commercially without permission
Teachers and students must not independently record XLClass sessions unless authorised.
Access and retention
Recordings involving children have restricted access. XLClass retains class recordings for 90 days, unless a recording is needed for an active safety or complaint investigation, in which case it is kept only as long as that matter requires.
