Professional standards
Teachers representing XLClass are expected to maintain high professional and child safety standards.
Teachers must
- Be punctual and prepared
- Teach the advertised curriculum
- Communicate respectfully
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
- Use age appropriate teaching methods
- Provide constructive feedback
- Protect student privacy
- Use XLClass approved systems for classes
- Report child safety concerns
- Maintain accurate information about qualifications and experience
Teachers must not
- Request payments directly from students or parents for XLClass booked lessons
- Attempt to move XLClass students away from the platform for private lessons
- Exchange unnecessary personal contact details with children
- Engage in romantic, sexual or inappropriate communication
- Discriminate against students
- Record students without authorisation
- Share student information with third parties
- Teach while impaired by alcohol or drugs
- Use threatening, humiliating or aggressive teaching practices
Repeated or serious breaches may result in removal from XLClass.
