XLClass respects the privacy of students, parents, teachers and website visitors. Children’s privacy is especially important.
Information we may collect
Parent information may include name, email address, phone number, billing information, account information and communications with XLClass.
Student information may include name, age or date of birth, course enrolments, attendance, learning progress, teacher feedback, class communications, profile information and audio or video where classes are recorded.
Teacher information may include name, contact information, qualifications, experience, profile photograph, identity verification information, background screening information, payment information, availability and student feedback.

Children’s information
XLClass aims to collect only information reasonably required to provide educational services. Children should not provide unnecessary personal information. Where appropriate, accounts for younger students should be created and managed by parents or guardians.
Video classes
Classes may operate through third party video conferencing providers such as Zoom. Those providers may process information under their own privacy policies. XLClass will seek to configure services appropriately for children’s educational use.
Payments
XLClass may use third party payment processors such as Stripe. XLClass does not need to store complete payment card details where payment information is processed directly by the payment provider.
Service providers
Personal information may be shared with service providers required to operate XLClass, including video conferencing providers, payment providers, cloud hosting providers, email providers, analytics providers, customer support systems and background screening providers. These providers should receive only information reasonably required for their service.
International data transfers
XLClass may use teachers or technology providers located outside Australia. This may result in personal information being processed or stored overseas. Where required, XLClass will take reasonable steps regarding the handling of personal information by overseas recipients.
Marketing
Parents and adult users may receive promotional communications where permitted. Users may unsubscribe from marketing communications. Service related communications may still be sent.
Data security
XLClass uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Access, correction and deletion
Users may request access to or correction of personal information held about them, subject to applicable law. Parents and adult users may request deletion of their account. Some information may need to be retained for legal requirements, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, child safety investigations or other legitimate obligations.
